Lock Haven University will host a Mental Health Awareness Night from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. on September 18 in the Ulmer Hall Planetarium room 211 on the campus of LHU.
Suicide prevention and mental health advocates, suicide attempt and loss survivors and mental health professionals will discuss ways to help prevent suicide and bring awareness to mental health issues in the state and on college campuses.
Presenters at the event will be Govan Martan, chair and executive director of Prevent Suicide PA; Tulare Park, director of disability services for students at LHU; Laura Gardner, instructor in the social work and counseling department at LHU; Matthew Barkley, instructor in the health science department at LHU; and Elina Lure, LHU student.
