SHAUN CASSIDY RETURNS WITH LOW-KEY CALIFORNIA CLUB DATE

1970’s teen heartthrob-turned major TV producer, Shaun Cassidy played his first show in nearly 40 years on Friday night (May 17th) in Buellton, California’s Standing Sun Wines. Cassidy, who was the younger brother of the late-David Cassidy, is currently in the midst of a multi-year overall deal with NBC/Universal television, and serves as a consulting producer on NBC’s hit hospital drama New Amsterdam.

Cassidy’s gig, which is the first of six comeback shows, served as a mini-biographical production, with Cassidy telling some heartfelt and humorous stories about his life, family, and career. Highlights included Cassidy’s ’70s hit covers of Eric Carmen‘s “Hey Deannie,” “That’s Rock N’ Roll,” the Lovin’ Spoonful‘s “Do You Believe In Magic,” a tribute to brother David on the Partridge Family classic “I’ll Meet You Halfway,” and featuring signature covers of the Ronettes‘ “Be My Baby,” Brian Wilson‘s “It’s Like Heaven,” and the Who‘s “So Sad About Us.”
